Shining a Light on Research and Charity at Doncaster Royal Infirmary

As part of the recent launch of the new Clinical Research Hub at Doncaster Royal Infirmary, Keane was approached by Doncaster & Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals Charity to design a creative way of using the Research Hub’s window space. The challenge was to incorporate information about DBTH’s strategic pillars and its commitment to clinical research, as well as raising awareness of the Charity’s important work across Doncaster Royal Infirmary, Bassetlaw Hospital and Montagu Hospital whilst also providing a practical privacy solution to adhere to strict patient confidentiality and data protection.

Working closely with DBTH’s Communications team, DBTH Charity, and our large-format print partners SPJ, Keane created a bespoke window covering that allows light into the office whilst screening confidential activity from patients and visitors. The final design is bold, eye-catching and built around the strategic pillars of the Trust, with strong Charity branding at its heart.

Crucially, the installation also includes a QR code, enabling passersby to instantly learn more or donate to the Charity, supporting the Charity to continue its work in funding additional equipment, services and amenities for patients, visitors and staff that cannot be covered by the NHS alone.

The final design and installation not only provides a privacy screen, it also ensures the Charity’s presence is visible, engaging, and memorable, ensuring everyone who walks past the Hub is reminded of the invaluable work of the clinical research team and the incredible difference DBTH Charity makes.
