The Social Isolation Alliance (SIA) founded by My Doncaster in partnership with Doncaster Culture & Leisure Trust (DCLT) aims to reduce loneliness and social isolation in Doncaster. With a number of partner organisations from the public, voluntary, community and faith sectors, SIA needed a digital presence to signpost users to all the organisations offering support. Additionally, the Alliance needed to provide a centralised resource hub for partner organisations to find and share useful information and knowledge.
Keane took on the task of creating a bespoke website for SIA (Social Isolation Awareness), aimed at connecting users with the support available to combat social isolation and loneliness as well as connecting partner organisations with relevant, useful and up to date information such as compliance documentation and meeting minutes.
Understanding the sensitivity surrounding the subject matter, and the diverse target audience potentially accessing the website, Keane worked closely with Programme Manager Kate to design and develop an intuitive and easy-to-use platform, ensuring that users could navigate and access the available resources effortlessly. Incorporating user-friendly features such as clear navigation menus, and visually appealing layouts to enhance the overall user experience, as well as a secure, password-protected members' area for the partner organisations to access as and when required, the resulting website not only signposts users to the necessary support, it also fosters a sense of comfort and reassurance for those seeking help with social isolation and loneliness.
