Having previously worked with Doncaster Mind to design their 2023 -2026 Strategy Document, Keane was approached for further support on the launch of Doncaster Mind’s new initiative – RISE. RISE by Doncaster Mind provides paid-for therapy services and, as a not-for-profit, when people choose RISE, they’re also contributing to reduced waiting times and extending help to those in the area who otherwise may not be able to receive it.
Roadmap for activity
RISE by Doncaster Mind was looking for support with the creation of a Marketing plan to act as a roadmap to ensure alignment between their marketing activities, use of resource and consistent, targeted messaging in taking this new initiative to market.
Working closely with the Doncaster Mind team, Keane took a collaborative, hands-on approach to ensure the strategy was tailored specifically to the organisation’s goals, moving beyond a standard, off-the-shelf ‘generic’ solution. The resulting plan is designed not only to support a successful launch but to provide a long-term framework for growth.
Defining objectives
Key to developing the plan was defining clear objectives for RISE, ensuring alignment between the service offering and Doncaster Mind’s wider mission. Keane also helped identify key target audiences and created key messaging that communicates the value of the service whilst reinforcing that revenue will be reinvested into frontline mental health support.
The plan outlines the most effective communications channels to reach these audiences, alongside detailed recommendations for the launch of a new website. Having already engaged with a web developer, technical support was not required, however Marketing-led guidance was sought – to this end, Keane provided guidance on user experience, content structure, and visual imagery to maximise engagement and accessibility.
Accountability and metrics
To ensure accountability and ongoing optimisation, Keane established a set of measurable success metrics, enabling Doncaster Mind to track performance and refine activity over time. The strategy also includes practical, short-term marketing actions that the internal team can implement immediately to build momentum and awareness for RISE.
Through this partnership, Keane has equipped Doncaster Mind with a clear, actionable marketing roadmap, supporting the successful introduction of RISE whilst strengthening the charity’s ability to reinvest in vital community services.
